Project Technician – Level 2

Job Responsibilities

• Understand and strictly abide by project process safety strategies to positively impact and improve overall project safety and environmental stewardship.

• Follow instructions to collect and submit information and documentation relating to the technical goals and results of a project.

• Possess a basic understanding project commercial and technical services information as part of overall project execution.

• Serve customers by fielding and referring commercial and technical services questions and identifying information about other additional services and products of potential value to the Project Manager or Account Manager to Present.

• Directly contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project goals.

• Understand and strictly abide by Project Manager-Approved commercial and financial strategies to positively impact and improve overall project success.

• Proactively identify and report current, future, actual and perceived project service problems and/or opportunities for improvement by identifying the need, analyzing and clarifying the situation, determining the root cause, selecting and explaining the best solution and then presenting to the project manager for a Project Manager-Approved solution.

• Adhere to project requirements and work in conjunction with the Project Team to implement appropriate project execution and service strategies to ensure those requirements are successfully achieved.

• Work with the Project Team to understand, communicate, implement and maintain project execution timelines.

• Work with the Project Team to abide by project execution and service strategies, especially detailed requirements, processes, procedures.

• Work within the Project Team and other relevant company team members to deliver on Safety, Environmental and QA/QC goals to ensure success for the entire organization.

Specific Job Duties

• Participate in Ongoing Company Equipment Asset Inspections

• Participate in Project Materials Inventory Reporting

• Possess a Basic Understanding of how to Complete and Communicate Project JSA’s

• Understand and Adhere to Site Safety Compliance Goals and Requirements

• Understand Project Scopes & Objectives

• Have a Basic Understanding of Detailed and Accurate BOM’s for Projects

• Have a Basic Understanding of Detailed Project Schedules and Work Plans

• Have a Basic Understanding of how to Read and Interpret Technical Project Documentation such as P&ID’s, G/A’s, Procedures and Plot Plans

• Identify Piping and Flanges by MOC, Type, Size and Class

• Identify the Correct Gaskets and Fittings for Pipe-fitting

• Demonstrate Proper Pipe-fitting Techniques

• Identify Correct Hose Type, Size and Fittings for Circuitry Adaptation

• Identify and Understand the Purpose and Proper Operation of Project Equipment and Components

• Identify and Understand the Purpose and Proper Application of Project Chemicals

• Use all Project Tooling and Demonstrate its Correct Application

• Completed All Required Credentialing and Employee Certifications

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Proper LOTO for CSE Procedures

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Proper LOTO for Company and Customer Project-Related Equipment

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Proper Basic Equipment Set-up, Fluid Sampling and API 614 Screening

• Demonstrate a Basic Understanding of Fluid Flow Dynamics, Pressures, Temperatures During Project Execution

• Demonstrate Proficiency in the Prompt Identification of and Required Corrective Actions and Procedures in Case of an LOPC

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Completing Project Shift Log Sheets

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Reading, Understanding and Communicating the Details of Project Permits, JSA’s, SDS’s and WOSR’s

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Proper and Safe Handling of Equipment and Materials to Prevent LOPC’s and Contamination of Critical Equipment Assets During Storage, Set-up, Tear-down and Shipping

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Knowledge of Proper PPE and Basic Project Safety Equipment Requirements and Minimums

• Demonstrate Proficiency in CSE Tank Decontamination, Including Serving as a Hole-Watch and Accurately Completing Associated Paperwork

• Demonstrate Proficiency in the Manual Cleaning of Equipment Assets such as Piping Spools, Filter Housings, FPU’s, Heaters, Process Equipment and General Site-area Housekeeping

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Routine Project Execution Activities Including, but not limited to, Equipment Monitoring, Valving Actuation, Flow Circuitry Venting and Draining, Pipe-fitting, Chemistry Application, Fluid Transfer and Basic On-site Sampling and Testing

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Project-related Vernacular, Phrases, Terminology Associated with Company Processes and Procedures

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Identifying Customer Equipment Asset System Components Correctly for Purposes of Developing a BOM

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Originating Permits from the Customer

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Setting up Basic Processes, such as Tank Decontamination and Fluid Purification Projects

• Demonstrate Proficiency in the Operation of Company Equipment

• Demonstrate Proficiency in Conducting a Pre and Post Project Equipment and Materials Inventory

• Provide Basic-Level Project Information to Company Management and Customers, Including Progression Updates, Strategies, and other Various Aspects of the Project

• Understand and Adhere to Best Practices, Techniques and Standards

• Identify and Report Additional Opportunities and/or Supplemental Work Scope to the Project Manager, who will Upsell Where Appropriate

• Participate in the Collection of Information for Post-Project Technical Reports

• Adhere to Project Team Work Schedules, Turn in Employee Timesheets Accurately

• Understand Daily Safety Briefings and Meetings

• Support Project Site Set-ups and Tear-downs

• Identify Company Asset Equipment Issues

• Work well with Sub-contractors

• Participate in Safety Audits and Provide Safety Incident Reporting Information as Required

• Understand and Participate in Load-Out, Load-In, Mobilization and Demobilization Activities

• Identify and Report Potential Solutions and Improvements for Project Issues, Shortcomings and Opportunities

• Understand Project Tasks and Sequences of Operations

• Identify, Report and Prevent Project Risks

• Ensure Excellent Project Performance as Measured by Appropriate KPI’s, Metrics, Tools and Techniques

• Actively work to learn how to Interpret Laboratory Results Related to Projects

• Actively work to learn how to Comprehend Basic Principles of Machinery Lubrication

• Collaborate Effectively with all Subordinate Employee Positions

• Understand Project Execution Process Plans

• Represent the Company at a Basic-Level in Project Operations and Safety Meetings
