Overview

A Project Superintendent, in conjunction with company support staff, especially the Project Manager, is the primary employee responsible for Customer Asset-Specific planning, implementation and execution of turnkey field services for company projects. The Project Superintendent operates with a primary focus on safety, environmental stewardship, excellence in customer service, team-level company employee management and project-specific technical, commercial and financial success.

Compensation
Hourly Rate

$30 per hour (overtime applies to over 40 hours worked per week)

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) Years Experience in Project Supervision with a previous Key Leadership Role

  • Two (2) Years Experience with Industrial Equipment & Systems

  • One (1) Years Experience with Industrial Services Related to Cleaning and Reliability

  • Previous, Strong, Project Guiding Experience in a Dynamic Project Execution Role

  • Proven Experience Supervising various elements of a Project Execution Lifecycle

  • Highly Effective in Cross-functional Team Management

  • Previous Competency Supervising and Delivering on Finely-tuned Project Execution Strategies

  • Above-Average Writing and Verbal Communication Skills

  • Basic Presentation and Public Speaking Skills

  • Experience in Customer Service, Service Knowledge and Application and Quality Focus

  • Basic Industrial Market Knowledge

  • Skills in Problem Solving, Documentation, Conflict Resolution & Information Analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specific Experience in Services of High-Velocity Flushing

  • Specific Experience in the Services of Chemical Cleaning

  • Experience in the Field of Machinery Maintenance and Lubrication

  • Experience in the Area of Confined-Space Tank Cleaning

  • Previous Expertise in Working Plant Outages, Turnarounds and New Construction

  • Four (4) Years Experience in Project Supervision with a previous Key Leadership Role

  • Four (4) Years Experience in the Industrial or Industrial Services Field

  • Three (3) Years Experience with Industrial Equipment & Systems

  • Two (2) Years Experience with Industrial Services Related to Cleaning and Reliability

  • Associate Degree in an Engineering-Related Discipline or another Technical Field of Study

  • Additional Technical Certifications and/or Vocational Training in Mechanical/Industrial

  • Familiarity with Industrial Systems and Equipment

  • Intermediate Understanding of Fluid Dynamics, Lubrication, Tribology & Equipment Reliability

  • Experience with DOT Rules and Regulations

  • Experience Operating Commercial Vehicles

  • Class A CDL

  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 and HASC Safety Trained

  • Confined-Space Entry Trained

  • Forklift Operator Certification

  • TWIC Card

Job Responsibilities

  • Review, suggest and implement project process safety strategies to positively impact and improve overall project safety and environmental stewardship.

  • Prepare draft-level project service reports by collecting, analyzing and reviewing informational documents and documentation relating to the technical goals and results of a project.

  • Serve customers by providing project commercial and technical services information as part of overall project execution.

  • Serve customers by answering commercial and technical services questions and identifying information about other additional services and products of potential value for the Project Manager or Account Manager to Present.

  • Lead and directly contribute to the team effort by accomplishing project goals.

  • Review, suggest and implement Project Manager-Approved commercial and financial strategies to positively impact and improve overall project success.

  • Proactively identify and report current, future, actual and perceived project service problems and/or opportunities for improvement by identifying the need, analyzing and clarifying the situation, determining the root cause, selecting and explaining the best solution and then training and supervising the project team on implementing the Project Manager-Approved solution.

  • Participate in the project planning process across cross-functional teams within the company.

  • Assess potential competitor project strategies and offerings, seeking opportunities for process improvement and differentiation to improve service offerings and maintain the competitive advantage.

  • Analyze project requirements and work in conjunction with the Project Manager to develop appropriate project execution and service strategies to ensure those requirements are successfully achieved.

  • Work with the Project Manager to Develop, communicate, implement and maintain project execution timelines.

  • Appraise new service, technology and product ideas and help the company facilitate appropriate to-market ideas for implementation.

  • Supervise the execution of all service lifecycle processes for project execution, including service component research, market research, competitive analysis, planning and positioning.

  • Work with the Project Manager to Translate project execution and service strategies into detailed requirements, processes, procedures and reports for dissemination to the project team and company development teams.

  • Assist the Project Manager in the Creation and delivery of service strategy presentations to the company which describe business cases, high-level efficacy cases, technical requirements and ROI metrics.

  • Analyze all available data and observed trends to help the company develop sales and marketing strategies and define service objectives for effective marketing communication plans.

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and other relevant team members on the development of Safety, Environmental and QA/QC planning and balance resources to maintain and improve these important company functions to ensure success for the entire organization.

Specific Job Duties

  • Review and Implement Protocols and Procedures for Ongoing Company Equipment Asset Inspections

  • Conduct Ongoing Company Equipment Asset Inspections

  • Conduct Project Materials Inventory Reporting

  • Complete and Communicate Project JSA’s

  • Supervise Site Safety Compliance Goals and Requirements

  • Review, Assist with and Communicate Project Scopes & Objectives

  • Review and Implement Detailed and Accurate BOM’s for Projects

  • Suggest Sourcing Project Equipment and Consumable Resources

  • Review and Understand Detailed Project Schedules and Work Plans

  • Understand, Read, Interpret and Present Technical Project Documentation such as P&ID’s, G/A’s, Procedures and Plot Plans to assist the Project Manager

  • Manage Project Technicians

  • Provide Advanced-Level Project Information to Company Management and Customers, Including Progression Updates, Strategies, Billing and Various Commercial Aspects of the Project

  • Know and Implement Best Practices, Techniques and Standards

  • Review and Recognize Project Performance to Identify Opportunities for Improvement

  • Identify, Communicate and Propose Additional Opportunities and/or Supplemental Work Scope to the Project Manager, who will Upsell Where Appropriate

  • Assist the Project Manager in Collecting Information for Post-Project Employee Evaluations for the Project Team

  • Assist the Project Manager in Collecting Information for Post-Project Technical Reports in Conjunction with the Account Manager for Presentation to the Customer

  • Monitor and Report on Project Team Work Schedules, and Evaluate Ongoing Manpower Needs to Assist the Project Manager with Effective Resourcing

  • Supervise Small, Diverse and Single-Project Teams

  • Review Daily Safety Briefings and Meetings

  • Direct and Organize Project Site Set-ups and Tear-downs

  • Troubleshoot Company Asset Equipment Issues

  • Manage Sub-contractors

  • Possess HAZWOPER Certification

  • Demonstrate Proficiency in the Use and Application of Company Borescopes

  • Demonstrate Proficiency in the Accurate Execution of the MPC Process, including testing

  • Demonstrate Proficiency in the Accurate Preparation of All Project-Related Paperwork

  • Review Safety Audits and Provide Safety Incident Reporting

  • Function as the Secondary Point-of-Contact for Project Team Human Resource Matters and Report up to the Project Manager for Employee Corrective Action Issues

  • Provide Intermediate-Level On-the-Job Training to Company Employees During Projects

  • Review and Implement Pre-Project Planning, Design, Engineering, Load-Out, Load-In, Mobilization and Demobilization Activities

  • Seek out and Report Potential Solutions and Improvements for Project Issues, Shortcomings and Opportunities

  • Review, Report and Implement all Aspects of Project Resourcing and be Responsible for, Manage and Control Project Costs and Expenses

  • Review, Report and Implement and Supervise Project Tasks and Sequences of Operations

  • Identify, Report and Prevent Project Risks

  • Review Project Performance Using Appropriate KPI’s, Metrics, Tools and Techniques

  • Be Responsible for the Submission of all Required Project Commercial Certifications

  • Participate in the Planning Analysis from Site Visits and Equipment Asset Walk-Downs, including those Site Evaluation Visits Where the Detailed Review of Advanced Systems is Required

  • Interpret Intermediate-Level Laboratory Results Related to Projects

  • Understand, Evaluate and Communicate Fluid Analysis Results at an Intermediate Level

  • Comprehend Intermediate Principles of Machinery Lubrication

  • Provide Training and Mentorship to all Subordinate Employee Positions
